LP360 now has a separate filter for TIN surfaces. The user can define a filter
for the points from which the TIN is drawn. Previously, a single filter was used
to draw points as well as the TIN surface. Now, the previous filter (Points
Filter) is only used for displaying the points, while the new TIN filter is used
to draw the TIN. The TIN filter is defined on the Properties dialog box under
the TIN Filter tab. This feature is in both LP360 for Windows and the LP360
ArcMap extension. A Viewer level license is sufficient for this feature.
LP360 now includes the ability to set and clear the following destination flags: Model Key
Point, Synthetic, Withheld, and Overlap. Use the Destination
Flags command to set the flags for points on the LP360 Classify and the Profile toolbars. This
command is available from the main view in LP360 for Windows, the main view in
the LP360 ArcMap extension, and the Profile Viewer. A Standard level license or
above is required for this feature.
Display By Files
LP360 now includes a new Display by Files display draw legend mode. This display draw mode
allows the user to color the points based on their files. This feature is
available in LP360 for Windows and the LP360 ArcMap extension and is located on
the LP360 toolbar. A Viewer level license is sufficient for this
Fast TIN Option
LP360 now includes a Use Fast TIN option to generate TIN surfaces. If the user
checks Use Fast TIN in the Performance Options tab, it will use the
Divide-and-Conquer method to generate the TIN surface. (This option is checked
by default.) If this option is not
selected, it will use the Incremental method to generate the TIN surface. The
Divide-and-Conquer method generates a TIN surface faster than the Incremental
method, but does not consistently TIN a uniform grid. If you are experiencing
inconsistent contour drawing of uniform grids, uncheck this option.
LP360 now includes the ability to export the difference in elevation between 2
surfaces. This was added as the Elev Diff attribute to the Export LAS Files
dialog box. The difference may be exported as an ASCII Raster, a Binary Raster
or an ESRI Binary Grid. (The ESRI Binary Grid output is only available in the
LP360 ArcGIS extension.)
Elevation Conflate/Classify and Classify By Feature for LP360 for
LP360 for Windows now includes the Conflate/Classify command and the Classify By
Feature commands. These commands were previously only available in the LP360
extension for ArcGIS. They are found on the LP360 Classify toolbar.
Point Source IDs Filter
LP360 now allows users to add an option to filter points based on their point
source IDs. The new Point Source IDs tab allows users to select different ranges
of point source IDs for filtering the points. This tab is available in the
Properties dialog box, as a sub-tab of the Points Filter and TIN filter tabs.
The Point Source ID usually corresponds to the original flight line (or drive
take for mobile projects).
Multi-Byte Image Support
LP360 for Windows now supports display of multi-channel, multi-byte imagery.
Modifications to Existing Features
Improved Draw Drape Line Performance The performance of the Draw Drape Line command in the Profile Viewer
has been improved.
Ability to Copy Points Filters and TIN Filters The Copy Legends command now copies points filter and TIN filters.
Improved Planar Filter Performance
The performance, with respect to run-time and quality, of the Planar
Filter (Building Filter) has been improved.
Modified GPS Time Format String
The GPS Time Format string has been modified to match the LAS standard
of GPS Week Time and Adjusted Standard GPS Time.
Ability to Copy Date Type Attribute
LP360 now includes the ability to copy the “Date” type attribute field
in the Elevation Conflation/Classify command when the Copy attributes option is
